Your future self will thank you: cookie dough edition
Having portioned out cookie dough in the freezer is one thing that helps me make my life a little more together. Having homemade cookies is one of life’s simplest pleasures, and when you can have them within 15 minutes, even better. Whether you have a last-minute house guest or are just craving a single cookie, this method is perfect.
When I have to make cookies for any reason, if I have time, I try to make a double or triple batch. I bake the cookies that I need to bake, and with the rest of the dough I pre-scoop into balls and freeze them on a cookie sheet. Once the dough can hold its shape, I then transfer them to a Ziploc bag and store them in the freezer until I am ready for them.
